These shells are bonded to the front of the teeth changing their colour, shape, size, or length.<\/span><span class=\"s2\"><br \/><\/span><span class=\"s1\">Dental veneers can be made from porcelain or from resin composite materials. Porcelain veneers resist stains better than resin veneers and better mimic the light reflecting properties of natural teeth. Resin veneers are thinner and require removal of less of the tooth surface before placement. The teeth are prepped (filed down) on the front surface and scanned to the computer. The dentist will then design the new veneers, changing different aspects of the patient\u2019s teeth. The veneers are then milled (sculpted) from individual, full-porcelain blocks.
