In such an instance, only 0,5 mm of the tooth has to be removed from the sides of the teeth and only 1,5 to 2 mm reduced in the chewing areas.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The dentist will take an impression of the teeth and the models are poured in the laboratory (similar to the process that is followed for crowns and bridgework). The veneer is then constructed on the model by building up thin layers of suitable material such as porcelain, ceramic or composite resin.
